The Blue Star Memorial Garden got a fresh start to the season thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers who came out for the spring cleanup. It was a beautiful morning—clear, sunny skies and no wind, despite earlier predictions of chilly weather. The atmosphere was relaxed and productive, helped along by a thoughtful playlist from Littany Hollerbach that started with classical piano and eased into softer popular tunes as the morning warmed up. Grasses were cut down, weeds were dug up, and mulch was carefully worked into the cleaned areas. The garden is now in great shape for spring visitors. Many thanks to Project Chair Littany Hollerbach, Lois Nichols, Lauren Toomey, and Trish Demers for their time and effort in keeping this meaningful space looking its best. Photo Credit: Trish Demers
