FEATURED NATIVE TREE: Acer rubrum, red maple

This tree is named for its deep scarlet fall foliage. In summer, the leaves are green with red stems. The fruits are winged and spin like helicopters, which carries them away from the tree. Adaptable to a wide range of site conditions.
