The Environmental, Gardening, and Landscape Design Schools provide continuing education about the land, water, air, and earth on which we live, the field of horticulture and focusing on recognizing and practicing good land use. Course content is established by National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC). Four sequenced courses (1 through 4) comprise a series for each of the three schools. Each course consists of ten hours of instruction, which may include field trips and tours to related locations. Optional exams are offered for those wishing to become NGC Accredited Environmental, Gardening or Landscape Design Consultants.
Landscape Design School Course 4 will take place May 24-25, 2022 at Turf Valley Resort and Hotel, Ellicott City. Gardening School Course 1 will take place September 14-15, 2022 at the Cylburn Arboretum Greenhouse Classroom, Baltimore. (NGC) blog is where a member or even a group of members share their views on a variety of subjects related to the goals and objectives of NGC. The main purpose of the blog is to connect the organization to a target audience concerned about nature and the natural world around them, as well as those involved or concerned with environmental issues, gardening, floral design, landscape design, etc. NGC uses blogging to raise awareness about these issues and to help promote the organization as an important member in the community of nature organizations.
