Led by Project Chair Littany Hollerbach, a very productive cleanup session at the Blue Star Memorial Garden was held this morning with the following attendees: Mary Ann Cannone (not pictured), Angela Wetzel, Jessica Kruse, Nancy Percivall, and our guest, Yuki Adams. Together, they tackled various tasks such as weeding, mulching, edging, and planting zinnias in preparation for our upcoming Flower Show at Crofton Library.
Led by Project Chair Littany Hollerbach, members pulled dark green liriope, deadheaded some of the black-eyed Susans (left some seedheads for the birds), and planted about 45 native plants donated by member Lauren Toomey and the rePollinate Anne Arundel Program. Led by Project Chair Camille DeVito, members participated in a spring cleanup at the Blue Star Memorial Garden located at the Crofton Community Library.
Members weeded, cut back the daffodils, planted begonias and mulched the garden. Thank you to Camille and her husband Frank, and members Margo Antonelli, Nancy Durose, Barbara Emden, Cindy Hansen, Littany Hollerbach, Rosa Johnson, Patty More, Lois Nichols, Nancy Percivall, Don and Rena Pogue, Kathy Puhak, Gail Schulz and Pat Stevenson for helping with the garden cleanup. Led by Project Chair Camille DeVito, members participated in a two-day fall cleanup at the Blue Star Memorial Garden located at the Crofton Community Library.
Members removed invasive weeds and tree saplings, cut back the black-eyed Susan, planted ornamental cabbage and mulched the garden. Nancy Percivall collected seed heads from the black-eyed Susan cuttings and the seeds will be used for our April program. Led by Gail Schulz, members participated in a spring cleanup at the Blue Star Memorial Garden located at the Crofton Community Library. The garden was weeded and mulched, and begonias were planted.
