Crofton Village Garden Club supports the mission of Wreaths Across America at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Project Chair Becky Hogan and members Margo Antonelli, Marie Bryer, Diane Gallow, Marcia Richard and Carol Schoenfeld participated in laying the Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes. Because of COVID-19, the ceremony was pre-recorded and can be viewed by clicking the button below.
Due to COVID-19, Crofton Village Garden Club was unable to create patriotic-themed flower arrangements for the veterans who reside at the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore. As a way to still honor our veterans, CVGC is sponsoring a flag in the Flags for Heroes event sponsored by Crofton Kiwanis and the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department. Flags will be displayed around Lake Louise on Route 3 from November 7-21, 2020.
Members Diane Gallow and Marcia Richard helped with the installation of the flags.

Linda Childs, Project Chair for Operation Christmas, held a workshop at Crofton Library where members filled boxes with goodies to be shipped overseas to Afghanistan.
This year we are celebrating a very special Operation Christmas initiative. Member C.J. Salisbury’s son-in-law is stationed in Afghanistan, along with 21 others in his Unit. They are attached to an Air Force Unit consisting of 30 personnel, so a total of 51 soldiers will receive goodies for the holidays.
Thank you to CVGC members who gave so generously, to BJ's, Giant Food, and Wegmans for their generous donations, to Outback Steakhouse who donated gift cards for free appetizers and to Mission BBQ who donated koozies and gift cards and shipped BBQ sauce to the Unit.
Thank you to Rick Childs and Palmer Salisbury for taking the boxes to UPS and to Linda for her time and effort in obtaining donations and purchasing the items for this meaningful project.
