The Pollinator Garden behind the Crofton Community Library just received a lovely upgrade with a brand-new stone pathway! This thoughtful addition enhances both the beauty and functionality of the garden, making it easier for visitors to explore and enjoy the space.
A special thank you to Laura Austin for generously donating the stunning flagstones that now form this charming path. Not only does it create a more accessible and inviting space, but it also helps support the garden’s mission of providing a thriving habitat for bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinators. Member Nancy Percivall and TLC are on the move! They will now meet on Monday's at 10 AM, weather permitting, at Crofton Library to maintain the Native Garden located beyond the Blue Star Memorial Garden. All are welcome to help with the garden – bring gloves and your gardening tools. It's a great way to keep in touch throughout the summer months!
Led by Project Chair Littany Hollerbach, a very productive cleanup session at the Blue Star Memorial Garden was held this morning with the following attendees: Mary Ann Cannone (not pictured), Angela Wetzel, Jessica Kruse, Nancy Percivall, and our guest, Yuki Adams. Together, they tackled various tasks such as weeding, mulching, edging, and planting zinnias in preparation for our upcoming Flower Show at Crofton Library.
Led by Pollinator Garden Co-Chair Littany Hollerbach, members are fresh and getting mentally prepared for the weeding of the Pollinator Garden located at the Crofton Community Library. Member Margo Antonelli just couldn't wait and dived right in. Thank you to Littany for organizing the clean-up and to members Nancy Percivall and guest Yuki Adams, Lauren Toomey, Margo Antonelli and Interim President Trish Demers (not pictured) for helping with the clean-up.
Led by Project Chair Littany Hollerbach, members pulled dark green liriope, deadheaded some of the black-eyed Susans (left some seedheads for the birds), and planted about 45 native plants donated by member Lauren Toomey and the rePollinate Anne Arundel Program. Thank you to the following members who helped with the garden cleanup: Lauren Toomey (not pictured), Cindy Hansen (not pictured), Nancy Percivall, Gail Schulz, Camille DeVito, Nancy Durose, and Yael Beckman.
