CVGC had wonderful weather for the garden tour. The tour included private gardens located throughout the Crofton community with refreshments served at Historic Linthicum Walks.
Thank you to all of the homeowners who opened their gardens to us, making this event possible and to the sponsors and advertisers who supported this fundraising project. Funds received will support many club projects to protect and improve the Crofton community environment. Crofton Village Garden Club enjoyed wonderful weather for our garden tour, showcasing the beauty and creativity of private gardens throughout the Crofton community. The event provided members and visitors with the unique opportunity to explore a variety of garden styles and landscaping ideas. Refreshments were served at Historic Linthicum Walks, where guests could relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings after their tour. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all of the homeowners who graciously opened their gardens for the event, allowing attendees to see firsthand the hard work and dedication that went into creating their outdoor spaces. The tour was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and advertisers, whose contributions helped make this fundraising project a success. The funds raised during the event will be used to support a wide range of Crofton Village Garden Club initiatives aimed at enhancing and protecting the local environment, ensuring that the Crofton community continues to thrive with beautiful green spaces for years to come. Paula Moratto, Committee Chairman, and club member Nancy Percivall helped promote the upcoming Crofton Village Garden Club (CVGC) Garden Tour at Homestead Gardens during their Spring Open House. They set up a display to share information about the garden tour and engaged with visitors, answering questions and providing flyers. Their efforts helped raise awareness of the tour and encouraged local residents to participate.

The event included the Club's much-anticipated annual silent auction and 50/50 raffle fundraiser. Attendees enjoyed good food, warm company, and the spirit of giving, with all proceeds supporting the ongoing projects and community programs of the Crofton Village Garden Club. Items that did not receive bids during the auction were generously donated to House on the Hill at Sacred Heart Church in Bowie, extending the event’s impact to those in need.
During the luncheon, the club recognized three longtime members—Suzann Barthold, Audrey Kerge, and Mid O'Malley—by awarding them Emeritus status in honor of their years of dedicated service. The celebration also welcomed three new members into the club family: Sandy Robertson, sponsored by Kathy Puhak; Pam Sutherland, sponsored by Glenna Kidd; and Georgetta Churan, sponsored by Mary Jo Shook. It was a joyful day filled with gratitude, generosity, and the promise of continued fellowship and community impact. CVGC held a special holiday celebration at the Blue Dolphin Seafood Bar and Grill, bringing members and guests together for an afternoon filled with joy and fellowship. Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch, followed by a festive and heartwarming performance by the award-winning Chesapeake Harmony Chorus, a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. Their harmonies brought the spirit of the season to life and had the audience smiling and singing along. The event also featured a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of members and guests, all proceeds from these activities will support the club’s ongoing projects and community programs.
