Crofton Village Garden Club members gathered at the Village Green Memorial Garden following our May meeting to dedicate the 50th Anniversary time capsule. CVGC President Cathy Gallagher led the dedication. A time capsule is something we collect now and leave for future generations to discover and use. It’s designed to offer a glimpse into who we were and the motivations behind our actions. A time capsule serves as an intentional witness to the future—a reflection of our present, not just a legacy. The "7th generation" principle, taught by Native Americans, reminds us that in every decision, whether personal or governmental, we should consider its impact on our descendants seven generations into the future. This principle encourages us to preserve the beauty of the natural world, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the same pristine skies, fields, and mountains. As we witness the future, we ask for guidance as we forge our path forward. After a moment of silence to honor our deceased members, everyone joined together to read aloud the following: Earth, Teach Me
The Seed Sowing Psalm
