Mother Nature treated us to a beautiful day for our garden tour. Attendees enjoyed the self-guided tour through eight gardens within the Crofton community – from highly pruned and manicured to lush and whimsical. This fundraising event would not have been possible without the homeowners who opened their gardens to us. GARDEN 1 • Creative Containers – Examples of hypertufa plant containers were on display at this beautifully manicured yard. GARDEN 2 • Capturing a Garden – CVGC member Denise Frey captures her vision of the beautiful landscaping in this garden. GARDEN 3 • A Hidden Treasure – The Stonegate Nature Trail, created by CVGC Horticulture Chair Nancy Percivall, is a hidden treasure among the homes of Stonegate. The whimsical trail encourages visitors to connect with Mother Nature. GARDEN 4 • All Things Cherry Blossom – CVGC members create a "pink experience" giving guests the opportunity to immerse into Japanese culture and learn the art of Ikebana while enjoying refreshments. GARDEN 5 • Meet the Pollinators – The guest of honor in this garden is the queen bee and her devoted hive of pollinators. Educational boards were located throughout the gardens and each attendee received a native plant. GARDEN 6 • Peaceful Easy Feeling – This garden owner has created a backyard oasis that invites you to surrender your thoughts and relax within the beauty of nature. GARDEN 7 • I'll Take One of Each – Through many years of carefully curated searching and purchasing, this garden owner has created a garden that is unique in every sense of the word. GARDEN 8 • It's A Pool Party! – This garden is the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon with family and friends. In a nod to the beneficial insects in our gardens, ladybugs were strategically placed throughout the garden area inviting guests to find them.
