FEATURED NATIVE TREE: Chamaecyparis thyoides, Atlantic white cedar

Prized for its rot resistance and lightweight wood, Atlantic white cedar swamps were heavily logged in Colonial times. The feathery foliage and tiny cones at the branch tips make it an appealing landscaping tree for wet areas.
