HONORING "A GREAT AMERICAN"

Crofton Village Garden Club was honored to be approached by the Crofton Kiwanis to enhance a memorial dedicated to Pete Pedersen, a WWII veteran and the individual responsible for the Kiwanis Flag Project. In collaboration with Kiwanis, who provided the necessary funding, CVGC member Trish Demers and her husband took on the responsibility of planning and executing the design and installation of the memorial. The result is a beautifully crafted tribute located in the median on Crofton Parkway near Eton Way, offering a fitting and respectful homage to Pete Pedersen’s contributions and legacy. This collaborative effort not only serves as a testament to his service but also strengthens the community’s connection to its local history and the Kiwanis Flag Project.
