 Crofton Village Garden Club chooses a local charitable organization, military unit deployed overseas, if possible, or any entity within the neighboring Crofton communities needing assistance during the holiday season. Donations are gathered from club members, stores, restaurants, etc., to assist in supplying items as needed and appropriate.
Project Chair Linda Childs announced that this year the Crofton Caring Council has been selected as the recipient of our Operation Christmas donation. The Council is comprised of several churches in the area: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Prince of Peace Presbyterian, St. Paul Lutheran, Community United Methodist and Mid Atlantic Community Church. These churches provide financial relief, food, baby clothes/items, etc., to residents in the Odenton, Millersville, Crownsville, Gambrills and Crofton areas. Because of COVID-19, the need is very great this year.
