Crofton Village Garden Club members Denise Frey, Jane Dillehay, and Laurri Diener recently tended to the pollinator garden at Crofton Library, giving it a seasonal refresh. The team cleared away debris, performed a thorough cleanup, and added a fresh layer of mulch to help protect the soil and plant roots during the colder months. In keeping with environmentally friendly practices, seed heads were intentionally left on many of the plants. These not only add visual interest but also serve as a valuable natural food source for birds throughout the winter. Their efforts help maintain the garden as a welcoming habitat for pollinators and wildlife, while also enhancing the library grounds for the community to enjoy.
