Following the September Zoom meeting, CVGC members were invited to take a tour of the Stonegate Nature Trail, a beautiful project created by Horticulture Chair Nancy Percivall. The trail showcases an array of native trees and a variety of native ferns, highlighting the beauty of local flora. Among the many features along the trail are a whimsical Gnome Garden, a special moss feature, and a man-made beaver dam, offering visitors a unique glimpse into nature. The tour also included a lovely picnic area, providing a peaceful space for members to relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the work and dedication that went into creating this tranquil and educational natural space.
