 PROGRAM: United States National Arboretum Members traveled by bus to the United States National Arboretum in Washington, DC. The Arboretums mission is to enhance the economic, environmental, and aesthetic value of landscaping with interpretive gardens and exhibits. A guide from Friends of the National Arboretum boarded the bus and members enjoyed a tour highlighting the 446 acres of land that encompass the Arboretum, as well as collections and natural areas. Following the bus tour, members enjoyed lunch and visited various gardens and exhibits for an up-close look at the magnificent displays of landscaping.
